Matthew listened to the boy silently. His long fingers dancing on the keys etching out a soft tune. He looked over at the boy when he asked his question. His fingers paused and he jotted down some of his thoughts on his paper and then flipped the page. "I guess it depends. There would be three factors. One: Do i want to make it right? Two: What's my heart telling me to do? Three: Does that person still want me?" He said his fingers moving once more. He had another factor but he didn't feel the need to add it, because he never had to. Was there someone there to make it all better afterwards. He looked over at the boy as his hands moved. He studied him for a moment thinking. This boy could hold himself so well, while he, Matthew seemed to be falling apart piece by piece. He watched his hands for a moment quietly.

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. Alex looked up at Matthew as he answered the question. He hadn’t stopped playing with his cell phone. He sighed softly and looked down at the phone as he bit his lip. Then he shook his head before smiling. He was done with that subject now. Time to going back to avoiding it like he was so good at. “So, uhm, I told you a few more pointless things about me,” he said, still smiling slightly. “What’s some interestingly random things about you that I don’t know?” He was pro at avoiding things by that time in his life. Plus, he really did want to get to know Matthew a bit more. He didn’t know what the other boy thought, but he hoped that they might be friends after everything they’d talked about. Alex could use some friends he trusted; and, he figured that Matthew was probably one of the few people he could trust because of all they had in common. And, he did know that with the state of mind Matthew was in…he could use a friend that was reliable. tag;; matthew word count;; ooc;;

Matthew stopped his hands for a moment as he thought. "Well... um... I changed my last name when I came here it was originally Greene now it's Razorblade, you can only imagine why i did change it. Uhm... I can stare at a wall for hours thinking about nothing. I have this strange obsession with candy canes and i have no idea why, so therefore I stock up on them during christmas and then at the beginning of summer I go to every store i can think of and hunt them down. i get pretty crazy if i don't have my candy canes." He chuckled at that thought and began pecking at the keys once more. "I don't watch TV, i'm too clumsy to play sports, and my grandparents disowned me because they said it's not right for a boy to wear more eyeliner than his girlfriend, of course they'd probably have a heart attack if they knew i dumped that same girlfriend for a boy." He said with a shrug and an eyeroll. old people could be so mean sometimes, especially rich old people.

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. Alex listened with a small smile as Matthew talked about his obsession with candy canes. “Candy canes aren’t really my thing,” he replied with a small shrug. He was more of a chocolate person. He loved chocolate candy. His favorite part about Valentine’s Day was the candy. Other than that, he thought the “holiday” was stupid. “Your grandparents sound stupid.” He hated when older people decided to be so closed-minded they did crap like that. “I don’t watch much TV; usually just with my little brother or my niece on the weekends.” His niece had gotten into the stage that all she wanted to watch was SpongeBob SquarePants. Alex found himself more than once absentmindedly humming the theme song while he was drawing or while studying. “I’m more of a movie, person, though. I work at the movies part-time over the summer; it’s great because they let me in free all year.” Alex realized he was still hanging on to his phone and put it back up into his pocket after giving it an odd look. He started playing with his bracelet again as he started about how easy it was to talk to Matthew. There weren’t many people he felt comfortable enough around to just talk about anything; and, he hadn’t opened up to any of those people having only known them a relatively short amount of time.tag;; matthew word count;; 229 ooc;;

Matthew laughed and nodded. "Yes they are. They're idiots. i really hate them sometimes." He said with a shrug. He didn't care anymore though. He looked over at him with a slight smile. "That's awesome. I rarely go to movies." He said with a shrug. He didn't really have the time to go. There was nothing out that caught his interest anyways. "So any extracurricular activities?" He asked him with a raised eyebrow trying to strike up conversatiuon, not that it was hard with this kid.

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. Alex shook his head when Matthew asked about extracurricular activities. “I’m not much of an ‘extracurricular’ person. That usually involves groups of people I don’t like,” he replied. He had never been able to get along too well with people he didn’t like. Plus, Alex wasn’t much of a group type person either. If he was really going to interact with people, he did better with only interacting with two or three at a time. “What about you?” Alex didn’t really take Matthew as the type of person who’d get involved with extracurriculars, but he could’ve been wrong. He’d been wrong before, so it wasn’t anything new. Being right was always nicer than being wrong but Alex wasn’t one to say he was always right. In fact, he knew he was almost always wrong. He smiled at the younger boy slightly before he said, “You know, I’ve not actually talked to someone without being snappy and cold toward them in a while...well, anyone that isn’t my siblings or niece.” Alex may have not been the nicest person; but, you get his niece around him and all of that would melt away. tag;; matthew word count;; idk, but it's short ooc;;

Matthew shook his head. "Extra-curriculars aren't my thing. I don't find joy in them so i don't bother with them." He explained with a shrug. He listened to Alex's words and then glanced over at him. "Really? Well i'm glad you're not all snappy and cold towards me." He said with a smile. "I try to make friends with people but everything thinks i'm some sort of freak from a circus or something." He shrugged and rolled his eyes. "Oh well." He said nonchalantly waving it off as if it was no big deal, though it really did hurt more than anyone realized.

…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. “I try to make friends with people but everything thinks I’m some sort of freak from a circus or something." Alex frowned a bit at Matthew’s statement. He had always found it horrible the way people treated others as if they were lesser or diseased or something just because they were different. But, it was how the world was. There wasn’t really anything he could do about it. “Well, people are stupid, so I wouldn’t worry about them, anyway,” Alex replied with a small smile. He knew his small bit of advice was overused and not very effective; but he’d never been one to pass up an opportunity to point out the stupidity of others. “I’m so not a people person. They almost considered diagnosing me with an antisocial disorder in rehab because I refused to join in group activities.” The memory was enough to make him laugh, because honestly…who DOESN’T want to spend their time making popsicle stick sculptures with people you didn’t know?tag;; matthew word count;; 166 ooc;; sry it sux. i couldn't think
