Matthew was hiding, since hiding was what he did best. He was hiding behind the bleachers behind the lacrosse field. He had a candy cane in one hand and a pencil in the other. A small piece of thick paper sat on the ground in front of him. He had been scribbling across it for the past forty minutes. It was now covered in random quotes and small pictures. The one he was working on now was a small anime girl and boy's faces. He put the candy cane in his mouth and let it dangle from his lips as he held the paper down to draw some more.
He wasn't a very sociable person and he didn't feel like everyone's whispered stares, so he skipped class and this is where he found himself. The first ten minutes he had spent laughing at a beetle that was scuttling across the ground thanks to the pain medicine that fucked with his mind. It had worn off though so he was quite calmer than usual. His brown eyes were trained on the paper as his hand moved the pencil along the page to make soft lines.
The wind blew an icy chill around him making his hair fall down in his eyes. He pulled his hood up over his head and continued on. He moved the candy cane around in his mouth and ran a tounge across his snake bitten lips to get the stick substance off. He didn't look up when he heard someone coming closer he just kept his eyes on the paper and what he was doing.

Lucas was bored and had decided to skip his next class, because, well just because. He never really truly had a good reason for skipping, but was there really one out there. Anyway when the bell rang he went to his locker, pulled his leather coat over his sweatshirt, threw the hood up on his sweatshirt and grabbed his skateboard before slamming his locker closed.
Lucas walked out one of the side doors next to the field and started boarding away from the school. He noticed that someone else had decided to skip also and was sitting under the bleachers. The kid looked familiar, even though it was from behind and looking through the bleachers, but Lucas was pretty sure he knew him. He skated closer, just as the kid put up his hood. Lucas just decided to go around and see if he could sit with him. He had nothing better to do.
As Lucas got around the bleachers he kicked he board into his hands and noticed that the kid was Matthew from his class. "Hey Matthew, you mind if I chill with you?" They weren't close friends or anything, but he'd never seen anything to wrong about the kid and he figured, they probably wouldn't hate each other, which was a good start. He actually seemed like he was pretty cool.

Matthew continued on with his random sketches with nothing better to do. He heard the scraping of skateboard wheels on the ground and the sound of someone kicking it. He glanced up to see a kid that looked familiar, as the boy spoke to him matthew racked his brain for a name. He tilted his head to the side and stared at something for a moment as he thought then he smiled and nodded as he realized who it was. "Of course." he told him.
He looked down at the drawing and looked at it for a moment. He began working on it once more and sat for a minute thinking about what to add. It needed something. He didn't really know what though. He was crouched down in the grass. He took his candy cane out of his mouth and let his arms rest on his knees.
His eye liner laden eyes were hidden by his long black hair. He blinked a few times to get it out of his eyes and off his lashes before looking back up at the boy. "Skipping class again?" He asked him with a raised eyebrow. Of course Matthew couldn't really say much he skipped class so reguarly no one really knew his name. No one said anything though as long as his parents kept paying the bills though he wished they wouldn't.

Lucas watched as Matthew seemed to be drawing something, or at least had been before Luke had interrupted him. Matthew actually looked kinda stumped at what to draw, even as he was sketching. Lucas laid his skateboard down before he sat against one of the bleacher's support poles, and put his right foot on the board. He started just mindlessly pushing and pulling the board back and forth. It was something he did sometimes when he was bored. He didn't really think about it when he did it anymore, it was almost like a reflex.
Lucas noticed that Lucas was sketching something, and chewing on a candy cane. He wasn't sure what to say exactly, but smiled none the less. "Yeah man, I can't take history. Its just so boring." he said, "What about you? You been out here for a while?"
