Lina hated art. She looked at the paper she had been given twenty minutes before. What a pretty stick figure. He's way too plain, Lina thought. PARTY HAT! Lina drew a triangle on top of the Mr. Stick's head. She handed in her drawing, and skipped back to her seat.
The teacher glared at her over his massive Steve Urkel glasses. Lina knew she had no artistic talent, but the stick figures where too sweet! Lina grinned at the teacher and gave him a thumbs up. The guy was a spazz, so he got all bent out of shape. Lina was laughing on the inside.

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. Alex had always been an artistic person. He loved art which was why he took the class more than once. He was running a bit late that day, having been stopped by the school counselor. She seemed to think he needed an attitude adjustment or something. With a sigh, he walked into his least favorite art class. He didn't like that art teacher. He was just a bit creepy. Alex handed him his excusal note and sat down at an empty seat across from some girl with black hair. He grabbed a piece of paper and set to work as he sat there. He brushed his dark hair out of his face as he bent over slightly becoming consumed in his work. He didn't say a thing to the girl at the table; but, inwardly he hoped she didn't take it personally. He just didn't talk to people often, unless they were one of his friends. tag;; lina word count;; idk ^^ ooc;;

Lina, having being done with her drawing, doodled on her desk. The desk had many drawings on it, UFOs, Cats, and her collection of stick figures. Lina loved her seat, because of it. It was the only desk that had these drawings.
Lina looked up from her stick figure with a stick, and saw someone had decided to sit next to her. He was completely in another world, as he drew. This guy liked to draw. Lina peered at his notebook and saw, he was good at it too!

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. He worked for a few minutes more before shifting in his seat, feeling eyes on him. He fidgeted in his seat a bit more before glancing up at the girl sitting across from him. "Can I help you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. He was quite used to being gazed at by others, and his reaction was always the same. He didn't like being stared at. Which was slightly ironic since his appearance almost always drew attention. He refused to change it though. He liked how he looked and anyone who didn't could go to hell for all he cared. He pushed his hair out of his face again as he looked at the girl. He knew he'd seen her around; but, he had no idea who she was. He figured she was younger, but he didn't know just how much. He was almost completely positive she wasn't a senior. "Who are you anyway?"tag;; lina word count;; idk ^^ ooc;;

Lina jumped when the guy spoke. Oops. Lina leaned away from the drawing and looked at the guy. He had the scene look about him. Though his features were much more sceneish (Is that a word?) then hers. Lina blinked when he asked her who she was.
"Er, I'm Lina. Who are you?" Lina hadn't seen this guy before. Which surprised her, because she'd probably remember him. Maybe she's seen him, and she just wasn't paying attention.

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. Lina. The name didn't sound familar to him at all. He frowned a bit, furrowing his brow as he looked back at his work. "Alex," he replied, regretting that he said anything. He wasn't much of a social butterfly. He tried not to talk to people, not wanting many friends. The more friends he had, the more likely they'd see the real him. And, that thought scared him. Alex had always been viewed as someone strong and untouchable. He preferred to keep it that way. He didn't depend on anyone, nor did he plan on needing to. He shifted in his seat a bit again. He wouldn't admit it; but, he didn't really like being alone. He liked talking to people; but, he didn't want to let anyone close...he had two or three close friends, adn that was all he needed. He bit his lip for a second before saying, "So, is that what you do every art period? Draw on the desk, I mean."tag;; lina word count;; idk ^^ ooc;;

Lina nodded when he told her his name. It still didn't clear anything up though. He stopped talking, and she went back to stick man. She made the stick in his hand a giant finger that pokes every one. She scribbled "poke, poke" next to it.
When Alex spoke again, Lina looked up. Lina looked down at her desk, and laughed. "Usually." She realized it looked funny, how many doodles were on the desk. Her name was scratched into the top right corner, next to three other names. All kids who drew on the desk. It was pretty cool if you thought about it.

And I don’t want the world to see me…
…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. He just nodded once at her answer as he continued working. He wanted to finish the assignement, even though he'd came in late. He bit his lip as he leaned forward a bit again, his hair sprawled out on the page as he worked on getting the shading right. When he sat back up, he flipped his hair out of his face and looked at Lina again. "So, why are you taking art class if you don't like it?" He wasn't sure that she didn't like it; but, usually someone who doodled on the desk instead of working on something to do with the class didn't like that class. Plus, he kind of figured that since she was the only one finished out of the class that she didn't honestly care about it it.tag;; lina word count;; idk ^^ ooc;;

Lina looked at her desk and shrugged. She had thought about why she was in art a couple times. And truthfully, she had no idea why she was in art. She started doodling another stick figure before answering."I really don't know why. I suck at art. Always have, actually."
Lina didn't know what else to say. She was a dancer, not an artist. There's a difference.

…Cause I don’t think that they’d understand. Alex wasn't sure what else to say to the girl, so he focused on his drawing more intently. He frowned a bit when he found he didn't know what to do next. He pushed the drawing away from him and tucked the pencil behind his ear before crossing his arms and inspecting the quick sketch. He wrinkled his nose a bit, not thrilled with it at all. Then he looked back up at Lina again. "What do you think?" he asked, wondering what she thought of the drawing he'd just thrown together. He'd always been one to ask outside opinion, but it always came down to if he liked it then that was all that mattered.tag;; lina word count;; idk ^^ ooc;;
