Leah walked right to her favorite place in the library: a table in the corner near the window, far from where most people sat, and too far for most of the lazy teens of the school to go. That's exactly why it was "her spot". Setting down her books, she pushed aside her schoolbooks, promising herself she'd do her homework later, and opened her novel. It was a romance novel, but more a romance comedy novel, and it was decent. Not her favorite, and nothing she'd have picked up. She was actually reading it for an assignment.
Before losing herself in the book, she took a quick glance around. No one around. Good. She needed to journal. Leah had this wierd paranoia about her journaling. No one could be around at all. It made her edgy and nervous, and with all the nosy people around? Please. She didn't want her buisness on the Rumor Mill. In her journal, she was totally straight up honest. Mainly because it was lockable, but also because she lied her herself so much, she needed something to keep up with the truth. Wierd, maybe, but that's how she was...

I'm strong on the surface, not all the way through...
...I've never been perfect, but neither have you. Cody walked through the library, dragging his messenger bag behind him on the floor. He sighed as he made his way through the rows and rows of book. He had an English paper he needed to start working on. So, he brought his computer to the library to work on it. He searched for an empty table. He passed the tables with gossiping teens to the back of the library where it was usually quiet. Anyone who knew Cody would find it odd that he knew where the quietest part of the library was since he was one of the more talkative students ever. He stopped walking when he spotted a very familiar face. He smiled brightly as he walked over to the table. He saw Leah was writing in something and stood far enough away that he couldn’t see it at all. He knew she wrote a journal and liked it keep it private. He respected that and didn’t want her to think that he saw anything that she may be writing. “Hey, Leli!” he said brightly. He and Leah had been friends since they started school there, and he felt like he’d not seen her in a long time tag;; leah/open word count;; 201 ooc;;

Jumping in suprise, she snapped the book closed and looked back, seeing Cody. Her expression instantly brightened. "Oh! Cody, hey! What a plesant suprise!" she said, with a laugh. She was serious, too. Cody was one of her favorite people in the universe, and her favorite person at Larkin hands down. They'd known each otehr since first year, and had grown super close since then. She told him everything. Absolutely everything.
"How are you?" she asked, moving her bag to give him room to sit. Journaling could wait for Cody. She hadn't seen him much on the past few days, due to being busy, and she felt like she hadn't seen him in forever. She wasn't much of a talker, but around him? She could talk for years.

I'm strong on the surface, not all the way through...
...I've never been perfect, but neither have you. Cody and Leah had been best friends practically from the moment they met. So, he never had any problem telling her everything. He didn’t think there was a single person in the world he trusted more than her…well, maybe his brother; but, that was a different story entirely. He smiled as he took the seat she cleared off, leaving his bag lying on the floor. “I’m good. Homework’s a pain like always, though,” he replied with a small laugh. Cody wasn’t all that great in school, but he wasn’t a bad student. He just never did as well as he could do. He wasn’t particularly fond of the whole schooling thing. In his opinion, the best part of it was the socialization. But, he was a really big people-person, so any place that involved him getting to be around a lot of people was good for him.
He absentmindedly twisted a ring around his finger as he sat there, something he did a lot because he found it difficult to sit still. He was almost always moving. “How’ve you been? Has anything happened I should know about?” Cody loved staying up-to-date in his friends’ lives, and he always felt kind of bad when he would miss out on something because he’d not been around to hear about it. Unlike a lot of people in the school, he refused to listen to the gossip spread. Even, and most especially, when the gossip was about anyone he cared about. Plus, if something had happened in one of his friends’ lives that were ‘good’ enough to be spread around the school, he’d rather hear it from his friends first. He’d not even heard whispers of Leah’s name in the hall, but that didn’t mean that nothing had changed since they last time they spoke. tag;; leah/open word count;; 301 ooc;;
