I don't believe in miracles I never did...
...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Daniel smirked a bit at what she thought about her teacher. It sounded very much like something he’d say about his teachers. Sometimes he wondered how they became teachers in the first place. He wondered about the school administration as well, at times. For example, putting Daniel in a low-level German class after he was raised dual-lingual since his parents’ families were still in Germany. Plus, he’d had to correct his teacher a few times…yeah, he didn’t get that at all. Daniel smiled as he listened to her talk. He liked listening to people talk, which was probably a good thing with having Cody as a brother. He’d found you learned a lot about a person by how they talked, what words they put emphasis on, things like that. He smiled a bit again when she asked what else he did. “Well, I like hanging out with these two guys that’ve been friends with me and Cody since we were practically born,” he said, answering the question. He thought about it a bit more and said, “I admit to reading those gossip blogs because I find it funny the information that will be put on them. Then, of course, there’s watching after Cody…which happens to be a full time job.” Daniel would talk about his brother negatively at times, mostly when the younger boy did something to get on his nerves or took one of his hats or something. But, the general rule was nobody else was allowed to. There were a few people who got a slide on it because 99.9% of the time they were saying it in a teasing manner. “I go to parties and the club sometimes; but, not too often lately.” He’d really been spending a lot of time just focusing on his music recently, and hadn’t really had anything else pull his interest.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 309 ooc;; XD

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine, while she really did appreciate the education she was getting at Larkin Academy, didn't know why she'd wanted to come back to a real school. She didn't like most aspects of it, like the entire social thing, and other than her art and photography classes, she was sure that she'd learned just as much being home schooled. She didn't like have to deal with all of the bitchy girls, and guys who thought they deserved to have the whole world bowing to them. There were a lot of times when Jasmine thought that she should have stayed in Washington, where she had friends, and no one that hated her. She shook herself, mentally, telling herself to just be grateful that she was at such a great school. Jasmine laughed quietly when he said he found the gossip things funny. Jasmine kind of did too. They are entertaining when you're not counting on them to actually be accurate. She laughed again when he said that about looking after Cody. Ah, so you're the responsible, quiet one. I kind of expected that. Jasmine had always figured that Daniel must have been the one who took care of Cody, just something about how Cody talked about him... She thought it was sweet, really, that he was so protective of his brother. Can't say I ever do that here... used to go to a lot of parties before I moved here. Jasmine kind of missed actually going out with friends instead of spending most of her time by herself, like she did here. Recently, she'd kind of gotten things under control school wise enough that she might actually have some free time... tag; daniel/open word count; 303 ooc;

...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. They are entertaining when you're not counting on them to actually be accurate. Daniel nodded slightly with a smile. He wasn’t ever worried about something about him being put up there; but, there were times he worried about Cody’s personal business being put up…if it wasn’t true, that was different. But, he did worry about something happening to the other boy that he didn’t want the school to know about only to have it put up on that site. He smiled slightly again when she said she kind of expected him to be the quiet, responsible one. Most people did, because…well, he was. Can't say I ever do that here... used to go to a lot of parties before I moved here. He smiled slightly at her and said, “Most of the parties aren’t all that great unless you’re really into sex and alcohol. But, the under 21 club is okay for what it is.” He shrugged a bit before looking back out at the park. He’d only been there a handful of times since the start of the school year, and it was usually with a large group of friends. “You should go with us sometime…with me and my friends I mean. The music’s not that great and most people –including me—can’t dance; but, it can be fun.” Daniel stopped playing, wondering how many times he’d just played the same simple tune. He thought about it for half a second before playing something else. The new song he was playing actually had words; but, he wasn’t even about to attempt singing. That was his brother’s job, and he’d leave Cody to it. He knew he couldn’t sing, which was why he only did while working on a song, or goofing off with friends. He tried to think of something else to say to her, but couldn’t think of anything. He’d never been as talkative as Cody. Daniel may have been the one to talk first; but, Cody quickly proved he could out talk the older boy.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 338 ooc;; hm, idk what to say

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine hadn't actually been featured on the blogs yet, which she was rather thankful for. She really didn't have any secrets to speak of, but... still, it would be strange, people she didn't know knowing whatever about her. Plus, she knew that most things that were on there were made up and horrible. She wasn't sure how she would deal with people making things up about her... Hmm.. Jasmine nodded at his comment about the parties. She wasn't too fond of alcohol in general... Way too much time spent with the drunk father. Not fun. And as for the sex thing... she wasn't sure about that part. She'd never even had a boyfriend, so. But she guessed that most girls here didn't have that issue. She knew from living in the same dorm as Bianca that sleeping with a different guy every week was expected. I- yeah, I'd like that, I think.. Always fun to watch other people dance badly... Jasmine smiled in a vaguely shy way, wishing she was a better conversationalist. She tended to be very awkward, especially when she didn't know the person very well, or when it was someone that she might like. People kind of made her nervous. It always seemed to take Jasmine a long time to make friends, especially here. When she'd lived in Washington, she'd had two best friends, Mimi and Seth, who she'd spent all of her time with. They'd all been friends for a long time, and Jasmine didn't ever really make other friends for some reason. She guessed that she'd never felt the need to. So now that she was here at Larkin... friends hadn't exactly come easily.

...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Daniel smiled when Jasmine said it was always fun to watch other people dance badly. “That it is; but, it’s often more fun to join them,” he said with a small laugh. He’d never been much of a dancer, but his friends had proved time and time again it was better to just join in the craziness and have fun rather than worrying about what other people thought. He never worried about what people thought about him anyway. Well, that wasn’t completely true. There were certain people whose opinions mattered, but that was about it. His attention was drawn to a small family that was making their way through the park. Their little boy was playing with a puppy and Daniel couldn’t help but smile. He thought the kid’s reaction to the thing was an awful lot like something Cody would’ve done…if he had a puppy right then. He glanced over at Jasmine again and said, “So, besides my brother, have you met anyone of interest from the school? Oh, yeah, besides me too.” He winked at her slightly before looking down at the guitar to tighten one of the strings that seemed to have gotten a bit loose. He hated when that happened for a few reasons: the first being it made the sound a little off and the second being that it was more likely to snap if handled in the wrong way. He’d been struck by a snapped guitar string many times, but it never didn’t hurt.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 250 ooc;; i think my muse is feeling rambly... is that even a word?

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine nodded, agreeing. It was usually rather entertaining to do stupid things, if they were fun. And if other people didn't like it... well too bad for them. Jasmine thought that it was odd, how she'd once been extremely self conscious and afraid of people not liking her, but now, she knew that a lot of people didn't like the way she dressed and acted, but it didn't bother her. Not that she didn't want friends, but... she just thought that people she just like you the way you were, or they weren't worth the effort. Jasmine smirked, blushing slightly at the small wink, before considering for a second. Well, you're definitely the most interesting so far, she said sarcastically. Well, it sounded sarcastic, anyway. She wasn't sure if she meant it or not. Luckily, Daniel could think she was joking and that would work. Hmm, but other than you two... not really. I've met some rather evil people, so I guess they were interesting, but not in a good way. I've mostly avoided people in general. Too much stuff to do. Jasmine hadn't actually realized how few friends she had here. She had just sort of been off in her own world since she started school here. You're a junior, right? Have you always gone to school here? Jasmine couldn't remember if Cody had mentioned other schools or not...

...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Well, you're definitely the most interesting so far. Daniel smirked a bit at the sarcastic tone in her voice. It was a nice turn from girls he tended to be around who’d have giggled and agreed just to try and pluck his ego. He looked over at her as she talked about the “evil people” in the school. He had to agree that a lot of the students at Larkin could be pretty mean. Most of them had insanely huge egos that only inflated as they put other people down. Daniel really hated people like that. He nodded when she asked if he was a junior. “Yeah; but, it never sat too well with our parents. I think Dad was hoping I’d be more into sports than I am, and he honestly doesn’t know how to handle Cody at all,” he answered. Their parents didn’t like the idea of them going to Larkin because it was a specialty school. But, the twins won out in the end; and, they even got to stay in the dorms…as long as they visited home on the weekends. “You’d think for them being so open about our looks they’d be as open about everything else; but, they’re not. Dad’s convinced that Cody’s look is a stage. I heard him talking about it the other day.” Cody’s look hadn’t changed all that much since they were young. Sure, his clothing got a bit better, and his hair changed; but, in essence it hadn’t changed much. He frowned a bit when he remembered a few other things he’d heard that had made him seriously think about hitting his dad. But, then he remembered there was sitting next to him.
He relaxed his hold on his guitar, which had gotten really tight without him realizing it. Then he made an odd face and he laughed a bit. “Man,” he said, shaking his head slightly. “I need to get a life or something. I keep bringing up my brother how lame is that?” Daniel knew some people found it odd how he’d keep slipping in random things about his brother as they talked. But, it was just part of who he was, really. Cody was his best friend, and he almost constantly worried. But, still…there had to be something better to talk about.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 385 ooc;; hmm...i want some applesauce... with cinnimon... yea, it's random...but that's how i roll ^^

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. “Yeah; but, it never sat too well with our parents. I think Dad was hoping I’d be more into sports than I am, and he honestly doesn’t know how to handle Cody at all,” Jasmine nodded sympathetically. She knew all about fathers who wanted athleticism more than anything. Her dad was always gone on and on about how he hated that she didn't do any sports, and how athletics were the most important thing in the world. Jasmine had no athletic talent whatsoever. She tended to trip over nothing, couldn't aim to save her life, and was the slowest person she'd ever met. She wished that she could be good at sports, just once, to see if her dad would actually approve of her then. Or maybe she wanted him to just like her the way she was. She didn't mention any of her daddy issues to anyone though. It was stupid. She just pretended that she didn't care at all what he thought. She just sighed softly, and said, I'm sure that's hard for you and Cody both. But at least they don't try and make you look like the rest of the world... And maybe eventually your dad will decide that Cody's okay the way he is. Jasmine shrugged. She thought it was stupid if Cody and Daniel's parents didn't approve. Cody was awesome, she knew that, and Daniel seemed like he might be awesome too. She wasn't entirely certain if he was as awesome as his brother yet, but she did like him a lot. She liked that both of them seemed to just dress like they wanted to, instead of because 'fashion' dictated that something was cool. Jasmine had always hated it that her dad was so bothered by the way she dressed. Sure, she wore some strange clothes, like the lime green skinny jeans she was currently sporting with an overly large tee shirt, and her hair was never the same color for more than a month? She was happy with the way she looked, and she was convinced that someday she'd find people, or at least a person, who liked her just how she was, orange hair and all.
Jasmine laughed at Daniel calling himself lame. Well, obviously you guys are really close. But, yeah, that is fairly lame. I'm actually kind of surprised that you're not talking about your guitar all of the time. Looks like you and it are pretty close, too, she said, grinning slightly and nodding to how tightly he was holding onto it. Jasmine really didn't mind him bringing up Cody. She figured if she had a twin(or a sibling at all), she'd be fairly concerned or whatever. And she actually thought it was kind of sweet, in a weird way, that he obviously took care of Cody, made sure things were good for him. Kinda cute.

I don't believe in miracles I never did...
...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Daniel laughed at her statement about him not talking about his guitar all the time. He shrugged a bit and said, “Well, I could…let’s see…I’ve had it since I was twelve. My dad got it for me for my birthday. Oh, there’s only one person on the planet who’s got permission to touch it. And, it’s not Cody; the guy’s a friend of ours and he’s earned my respect enough to let him touch it.” He stopped to think about it a bit more, flashing Jasmine a cheeky smile. He could possibly talk about his guitar for a long time; but, it’d most likely be boring to anyone who wasn’t involved in the stories he had to tell. A lot of the stories he could share with people were those inside stories that were really only funny or amazing if you’d been there when it happened. Such as the time Tom’s guitar string snapped and hit one of his friends on the face. Sure, it was painful, and that was usually what the people who got told the story got stuck on. Nobody got the humor in the situation besides the ones who were there. Even the friend that was so viciously attacked by the D string found it hilarious. It was definitely one of those days Daniel wouldn’t ever forget. “There’s plenty more I could possibly tell you about this thing; but, I highly doubt most of it would be interesting.” He smiled at Jasmine again before stopping to play long enough to readjust the hat he wore that morning. He then resumed playing as he tried to think of something to say, but once more found himself coming up short. He almost wished he was as talkative as his brother, but quickly dismissed that thought. That’d be no good. One person with Cody’s talkative personality was bad enough…but, two? The world would probably end.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 316 ooc;; idk...

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine listened quietly as he talked about his guitar, smiling. She had figured that if prompted, he could talk about it. She really didn't mind listening, really. She was kind of surprised when he said that Cody wasn't even allowed to touch his guitar. She did understand not wanting people to touch your stuff though. No one, ever, was allowed to touch her camera or her violin. Not her mom, or her teachers, or any of her friends. She was the only one who could. Jasmine watched Daniel's face go from cheeky, to rather amused. She wondered absently what he was thinking about, but didn't ask. If he wanted to tell her, he would. Jasmine half smiled, her mind wandering toward strange things. She wondered if she'd ever had anyone that she told everything to. It seemed like everyone here did. She had always been kind of a loner, but... weren't you supposed to have at least one friend like that? Oh, I doubt that you'd bore me too much. I tend to ramble about things that no one cares about, so even if you did, I'd be deserving of my boredom. Jasmine watched Daniel fix his hat, a small grin coming to her face. She wasn't sure why, but guys worrying about how they looked had always amused her. Most of the time, she wasn't even sure that they cared how they looked, but still. They always went on about girls taking too much time for their appearance... After a few minutes of not saying anything, just Daniel playing his guitar and Jasmine watching the people wandering around the park, she looked back over at Daniel. Wow. I've lost the ability to communicate with humans who aren't my mother or my Washington friends... how odd. It had been a while since she'd really talked to anyone, but she hadn't realized that she was that bad at it. She really couldn't think of anything to say...
