I don't believe in miracles I never did...
...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Daniel smiled to himself as he walked through Central Park, his guitar case in hand. It was kind of early on a Saturday morning, and not too many people were out. He sat down on one of the benches, opening the guitar case at his feet. He pulled out the guitar carefully. It was his prized possession. He took better care of the guitar than he did the Escalade his parents got him for his birthday (and that car was his baby). Getting situated, he made sure the instrument was tuned just right. Smiling, he found that it was still tuned to perfection. He started playing a song he’d written, and he closed his eyes. A peaceful smile stayed on his face as he played, getting lost in the song. It didn’t have words, but it was beautiful in its simplicity. While Daniel may have not been so well with words (he was better with showing than telling) he was great with music. He knew his chords and he knew melodies well. He wrote songs with his brother a lot, composing the music himself while the slightly younger boy did the words. The twins were opposites in a way that complemented each other. They were best friends, and Daniel would be damned if he’d sit back and let someone hurt his brother. After a few minutes, he stopped playing, sensing someone’s eyes on him. He opened his brown eyes and looked to spot the person. When his gaze landed on them he smiled again. “Hey,” he said with a small nod of acknowledgement.tag;; open word count;; 263 ooc;; whoot, first thread w/daniel! ^^

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Central Park was probably Jasmine's favorite place in the city. She loved watching people, and she loved taking pictures there. Of course, Jasmine liked taking pictures everywhere, really. Jasmine knew that carrying her camera around with her all of the time made her look extremely tourist-y, but she didn't care. She did actually need the pictures for school. She had to do her photography project by the end of the month, and she'd been assigned 'Things That Relate to Larkin Academy'. So she was taking pictures of the places where students spent most of their time, the school, and the students themselves. Jasmine realized that it was probably too early to see any of the students around, with it being Saturday and all, she was sure that most were still passed out from last night's fun. Jasmine, on the other hand, hadn't even slept yet. She'd decided to be a freak and do her homework the night before, and had somehow ended up staying up all night. Jasmine walked quickly toward her favorite spot in the park. As she got closer, she heard someone playing a guitar, and playing quite well, in her opinion. When she got close enough to see the person, Jasmine was surprised to see her friend Cody's brother, Daniel. She didn't know Daniel near as well as she knew Cody, but she thought he was alright, just from hearing Cody talk about him, and the few brief times she'd met him. Jasmine stopped a few feet away, just listening to his song, watching him. She blushed when he looked up and caught her staring. Um, hi. Sorry, didn't mean to disturb you, I just um- that was really nice. Your song. Really good. Jasmine bit the inside of her cheek, trying to make herself shut up. She had no idea why she was being so awkward.

...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Daniel smiled at the girl he recognized as one of Cody’s friends. He’d met her a few times, but only briefly really. He smiled and said, “It’s fine; and, thanks.” Some of Cody’s friends got on Daniel’s nerves quite easily; but, he never had a problem with her. She seemed really nice, and definitely not as annoying as some of the people Cody surrounded himself with. “Jasmine, right?” he asked her, trying to remember what her name was. He thought that was it, but it was better to ask just to make sure. He smiled as he began strumming a random tune. He couldn’t not play when the guitar was in his hands. It was just natural to him. He nodded at the empty spot on the bench and said, “You can sit if you want…unless you have to go or something.” He wouldn’t mind the company but he wasn’t going to force her to stay if she didn’t want to.tag;; open word count;; ooc;;

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine nodded when he asked her name. Yeah, that's me. and you're Daniel. I've heard Cody talk about you enough to know that. She smirked slightly. Cody had told her quite a bit about his dear twin. She thought twins were rather interesting. They always seemed like exact opposites, and always seemed to drive each other insane, but still be amazingly close. It was weird, if you asked her. But Jasmine guessed she had no hope of ever understanding the whole sibling thing. Yay for being an only child. Jasmine nodded in a weirdly shy(for her) way, and sat down on the bench. So, you're up early... Or late? tag; daniel/open word count; 114 ooc; hi! sorry about how short it is. rushing, cause i have to go to the store.

I don't believe in miracles I never did...
...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. He smirked a little as well when she mentioned Cody’s talking abilities. Daniel knew that Cody could talk for hours on end quite well; he’d threatened duct tape on more than one occasion. Which usually only got the other boy to be quiet for a few minutes before he’d start up again. Daniel didn’t really mind so much; Cody’s incessant talking let him be able to just sit there and no one would really notice that he’d not said anything. Daniel was definitely a lot quieter than his twin. “This is pretty early for me. I usually don’t get up for another few hours…but, I couldn’t sleep,” he answered with a small shrug. He was more of a morning person than a lot of the people he knew, but he wasn’t usually up before ten on the weekends. “What about you?” He continued playing a soft, gentle tune that fit the quiet morning as they sat there. He hoped Jasmine didn’t mind so much, and was willing to put the guitar away if she showed signs of being annoyed by it. He knew some people didn’t like having to talk over an instrument, no matter how uninvasive the tune was.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 200 ooc;; it's all good ^^ can't always expect long posts

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine had decided, soon after she met Cody, that his brother must be the quieter one. Jasmine honestly liked how much Cody talked, because he usually had interesting things to say, but she figured that his brother would have to be quieter. She guessed that he probably had trouble getting a word in, living with Cody. Jasmine nodded and said, Ah, that sucks. I hate not being able to sleep.. Jasmine liked early mornings, but she was usually only awake for them on days like today, when she was going to sleep all afternoon. I just haven't slept yet. Had a bunch of homework and stuff to do last night and ended up staying up all night, and since I've had way to much coffee to consider sleeping for a while, I decided to come out here and do my photography project. Jasmine shrugged. She would probably crash later in the day, or maybe she'd make it a super long day, and stay up until evening... That was always fun. Jasmine watched Daniel playing his guitar, and smiled slightly. It was kind of nice, actually. Jasmine hated silence, always had. Background noise, especially when it was nice music, was always welcome for her. It drove her mother insane, when she came home for the weekend or whatever, and had music on all of the time. But if she didn't, she couldn't concentrate on anything. tag; daniel/open word count; 249 ooc; woo! longer this time! go me!! xD

I don't believe in miracles I never did...
...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. Daniel nodded in agreement when Jasmine said she hated when she couldn’t sleep. It wasn’t really a pleasant thing. But, you learned to live with it. He shook his head, laughing slightly when she said she’d not slept yet. “I couldn’t do that. I tend to just crash when I get too tired,” he replied. Daniel had only ever stayed up all night a few times in his life, and it was usually after sitting up talking for hours with Cody about something big. The only reason he’d made it through those times was the large consumption of sugar they had and the fact either he or Cody really needed someone to be there talking with them. “What’s your project?” he asked interestedly. The only cameras he ever used were disposable ones they took on vacations. He’d never wanted another one because he didn’t take pictures too often. His photo collection mostly consisted of doubles from someone else’s camera. His parents had an expensive camera, but he never used it. Mostly because he knew if he used it once and it ended up broken at any time afterward, he’d get blamed. He didn’t really like that idea, so he just tended to avoid the thing altogether.tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 206 ooc;; so is mine! by six words, but hey! XD

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. Jasmine had gotten so used to sleeping whenever she wanted for the year and a half that she was home schooled, it had been hard to get back into the routine of sleeping regularly. Most of the time, on the weekends, she stayed awake until two or three in the morning, and then slept until two or three the next day. It worked well for her. That's usually what I do too, but then... the joys of insomnia, she said. She had a fairly regular issue with sleeping, especially lately. Her mother suggested stress. Jasmine kind of agreed with her, but it didn't matter. She could survive without sleep. I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm supposed to take pictures of 'things that relate to Larkin Academy'. Not too sure what I'm going to do yet. So far, I'm taking tons of pictures of people and stuff. Luckily, I've got a month. Maybe I'll just amaze everyone with my ability to use an old camera and develop stuff. Jasmine smirked. She was the only one in her class who wasn't using a digital camera for their projects. She had a digital one, but she didn't like it as much as her old Nikon. Plus, developing pictures was half of the fun. She'd convinced her mom that she needed to convert one of the rooms in their apartment into a dark room. Her mom though it was weird, but she was glad that Jasmine had something she liked to do. Plus, they had tons of photographic chemicals and paper that needed used. Her stupid dad hadn't bothered to take them with him when he left. Most of it was stuff for doing black and whites, and fortunately, Jasmine loved how stuff looked in black and white. It was odd, if you asked Jasmine, how she loved photography so much when it was something that her dad had taught her about, and she couldn't stand her dad. Usually, anything related to him annoyed her. tag; daniel/open word count; 351 ooc; woah, i kind of rambled...

I don't believe in miracles I never did...
...I don´t believe in fairytales, too cynical. He smiled a bit as he looked over at her before looking back out over the park. “Sounds like a really vague assignment,” he commented. He never really liked art assignments like that. Daniel liked drawing and he was pretty good at it; but, he took art as more of a fun class. His music classes were the most serious ones to him. But, to him, music was everything. “I don’t think I’d have the patients to deal with developing my own pictures. I can barely stand the one-hour photo wait whenever I actually do take pictures…which isn’t too often.” Daniel had certain levels of patients. When it came to music and Cody, he seemed to have an unlimited amount of patients. But, with things like his parents or language courses or practically anything else, he wasn’t that patient of a person. He absolutely hated long lines, and at times he even hated his art classes because some of the techniques took too long to do.
“So, besides photography, what other hobbies do you have?” he asked her with a small smile. Juliet was one of Cody’s friends that he wouldn’t mind getting to know more. She was really nice and a genuinely interesting person. She didn’t seem as stuck up as a lot of the people in school; and, she didn’t seem to be someone whose life revolved around The Note and the gossip sites either. Not that her being into the gossip scene would make him not like her instantly, but his view of her would decline a little. He had a negative view on those things a lot, mostly because he hated seeing or hearing crap being spread about his brother. tag;; Jasmine/open word count;; 284 ooc;; XD

Please, there's a better bit of me to see yet, Cause you haven't seen any of my best. I mentioned that to my teacher. Apparently, it's supposed to make me think. So far, all I think is that I have a very uncreative teacher, Jasmine said, and rolled her eyes. She guess that her teacher, Mr. Carson, just hadn't had any good ideas, so he'd been as vague as possible. Jasmine liked her photography class, but her teacher was... very out there. He informed everyone on the first day that he was a 'totally hip hippie with a passion for life'. Jasmine thought he was funny, but a pretty awful teacher. Ah, it's not so bad, usually I'm doing something the whole time, so I don't get bored. Plus, if I take them somewhere to be developed, they don't do it right! Jasmine guessed it was just that she was a control freak when it came to her pictures, because if she did ever take them in, she always had exact requirements on how they needed to be done.
Jasmine considered for a minute what other hobbies she had. Her photography was basically taking over right now, but before she was here... I... play violin a lot. Not so much since I started school here, but I used to be so obsessed with it. I... wow, I don't do a lot. Mainly just photography now. I've been so focused on making sure everything goes well here. Oh, I try to avoid all of those scary girls who hate everyone and are always talking about that gossip thing? Yeah. They hate me. Jasmine shuddered slightly. They were evil. She hadn't ever been too into gossip, but here, all of the girls seemed to take it so seriously... She thought that they should focus on themselves more, and everyone else less. What about you? I think the only times I've seen you, you've had your guitar with you. You do do other things, right? Jasmine smiled slightly. tag; daniel/open word count; 347 ooc; ♥
